On the 13 of March St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Peter the Great held an industrial forum "Locomotives of growth: the digital economy and new production" as part of the project of the political party "United Russia" "Locomotives of growth." The forum was attended by Alexander Beglov, plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-West Federal District, Boris Gryzlov, chairman of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party, Andrei Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Viktor Yevtukhov, Deputy Secretary of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, The Government of the Leningrad Region on Economics and Investment Dmitry Yalov, as well as other government officials.
Within the framework of the forum, various projects, developed by enterprises and research institutes that could become branch and regional growth points, were considered at the strategic session. "BPK" presented its project "Construction and equipping a plant for the production of heavy metal cutting machines." This project was noted as the leader of the section and protected at the Plenary session of the forum, having received approval and support from the party "United Russia".
